Mobile Photography

The pictures on this web page are taken using the apps available for the smartphone  Some of my favorite ones are Hipstamatic, Lo-mo, Snapseed and ProCamera but there are many out there. All fun to use with your Smartphone take your pick and go for it!!

Here are some tips for taking better photos with a Smartphone:

• Use the back camera: Smartphone back cameras are generally better quality than front cameras, so use the back camera for your photos.

• Clean the lens: Before taking a photo, make sure to wipe the lens clean of any smudges or fingerprints.

• Use gridlines: Turn on the gridlines in your camera app to help you align your shots and follow the rule of thirds for more visually pleasing compositions.

• Adjust exposure: Tap on the screen where you want to focus, this will adjust the brightness of the image.

• Keep your phone steady: Use a tripod or stabilizer to keep your phone steady and ensure sharp photos.

• Use natural light: Take advantage of natural light by taking photos during the golden hour, the time around sunrise and sunset when the light is soft and warm.

• Experiment with different angles: Try shooting from a low angle or a high angle to add interest to your photos.

• Use editing apps: Edit your photos to adjust brightness, contrast, and other aspects of your photos to make them look more professional.

• Take multiple shots: Take multiple shots of the same scene, so you can choose the best one.

• Consider the background: Always be aware of the background when taking a photo. A cluttered background can detract from the subject of your photo.
